Sage, Blue, and Handmade Goodness | Bohol

This is a bespoke project in collaboration with the bride. One of her friends created the paintings used in this project.

The invitation is a show stopper from the get go. It has a full printed jacket, secured with a belly band and gold string. The wax seal is framed with a custom cut card, that truly highlights the couple's logo.

Wax seal color used is champagne, and it's becoming one of my favorite colors to recommend.

The project is sophisticated in the material choice and meticulous in assembly. Paper scheme is as follows:

  • Ivory for envelope and entourage card (in varied thickness)
  • Sage Green for the envelope liner and belly band
  • White handmade paper for the main card
  • Textured white for the jacket, custom cut card, info and rsvp

Look at the crispy deckle-edges of the handmade paper. This suite is truly abundant in texture. Soft and pleasing to look at, and every inch an artwork.

The invitations were shipped to Bohol, where the wedding is set. Since many guests are flying in, there were a lot of details to include. To minimize the clutter and ease the flow, I adopted a timeline-style layout to give the guests a sequence to follow in reading and not overwhelm them with info all at once. I also made a custom made showing the route from the church to the reception.

The wedding is set in December, but we were done with the invites by August. It's such a blessing to work with relaxed timelines, especially for complex projects like this! I wouldn't know how to squeeze in the assembly for during the holiday wedding rush.

A big congratulations to the couple, Paulo & Joy!
