Art Exchange in Cebu 2016

This is the most frequent content of my dreams in the past few weeks. Recently, it is my waking thought, my day's final worry. This project is totally consuming me, and I am very very very excited to make it a reality! (And also rest afterwards, hahaha!)

Art Exchange actually came as a side-thought from organising a workshop in Cebu. We already booked a Cebu weekend for the Ink Scribbler artists so that we can teach and also have fun. While I was having coffee with Cris, one of our artists, the idea wandered into the conversation. Why not make it big? Why not make it bigger?

And so hello, ART EXCHANGE Cebu! That was last year in October 2016, back when I wasn't "blogging" yet. There were a LOT of challenges, mainly because we are based in Manila. From coordinating with the venue, with the bazaar logistics (yay, Maker's Market Cebu!), down to actually looking for workshop participants.

We conducted it in Henry Hotel Cebu (the place is lovely, the management is so easy to talk to). We also got Janot to have a gothic calligraphy workshop, and flew in Dr. Gail from Bacolod, to conduct a Copperplate calligraphy workshop.
