Autumn and Emerald / Japanese Theme

RJ and Yuka’s suite is one of our proudest creations. Instead of the usual Spring-Sakura theme for a Japanese invitation, she wanted to capture the warm autumn of Japan. It started with a custom watercolor of the couple painted against autumn foliage, and every card built out from there in warm orange and deep emerald. I wanted for each piece to be maximalist on its own, patterns, cutouts, layered finishes, but working all together as one suite.

The main card is letterpress (https://inkscribbler.com/products/letterpress-service-updated) printed in orange ink with a custom die cut (https://inkscribbler.com/products/die-cut) scallop shape, made specifically for RJ and Yuka. Beside it, the entourage card keeps a minimalist pattern border that ties the palette together without pulling focus from the main piece.

Inside the emerald sleeve (https://inkscribbler.com/products/full-print-sleeve), the accent card sits framed through the circular cutout, its watercolor scene of the couple in Japan only fully visible once the sleeve is opened, with folded paper cranes and pressed florals framing the window.

The ivory envelope carries a monogram in the same orange ink used on the main card, shown here alongside the emerald sleeve before opening.
