I received a message from the groom with a little rush tone, as they were in a bit of panic for their invitations. They just got the mock up from their original supplier, but their parents were a unhappy. Scrambling, we had a quick a video call an hour later (which I took while riding a bus to the mall, haha!) and they showed me what they received.
I get it. The cards were 5x7", a little small especially for a Chinese wedding. The paper was smooth with a little glean, I think C2S or Calling card paper which normally are just 220-250gsm, and using laser-jet printing which I don't recommend for dark backgrounds. They were telling me that they had to distribute the invitations in 2 weeks, and needed a new supplier to execute.
They sent me the files to re-do in Illustrator (as I don't use Photoshop) added some fixes to the layout, created some vectors for foil stamping. And then delivered to the client within 2 weeks including a mock up and handwritten calligraphy.
Phew! It was a lot, really, but I'm so proud to have made this happen. And most of all, we made the everyone happy. Haha! Another rush project done with magic.
So, this design is not entirely mine. The flower vectors, backgrounds where adapted from the original file, and most placing of the layout.
Names in foil stamping.
All the cards had foil stamping. We also had a vellum wrap, also with foil stamping.
A lot of detail went into making this suite - we added the QR code for the livestream, and thank you cards for ninongs and ninangs. All were foil stamped using a custom pattern I created that would be applicable for all cards (except the main invite)
The groom wanted to surprise the bride with an acrylic version of their invitations. She really wanted to have acrylic invitations, he said. We created a single copy of all the cards in acrylic, with foil stamping too. And on top of that, this was one of the first ever luxury presentation boxes I made to make this suite even more fantastic.

I also did some other things for the couple:
- Custom engraved cufflinks
- Handwritten bottles
And this Facebook review makes me happy happy. :)
